Biography
Latin Express was founded by Jesse Camarena in 1972 as a way to teach his children and local neighborhood kids how to play latin music.Eventually the band began playing around Victorville California and has since become a main stay in the high desert music scene.The band has changed a lot in those 35 years but it's still a family affair with leadership duties carried on by bass player frontman Johnny ("SOMEBODY SCREAM !!!!!!! " ) Camarena and big brother Jesse Michael (bang bang ) Camarena playing trumpet,singing lead vocals and high harmony.Papa Jesse considers himself retired but does show up for an occasional cameo and will often take it "south of the border" much to the delight of everyone present.
